Serve One Another Humbly In Love

You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love. For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” - Galatians 5:13-14

Christians are called to a life of service. Serving Christ and serving others is a part of the territory. But people don't often get excited about what it means to serve. To be a servant. And we're asked to serve others... humbly?

That's right. Humbly. No bragging about the fact that you're giving up your time and energy to help others. No complaining that it's inconvenient. Or that you're uncomfortable.

It's more difficult to live this way. And we all struggle to serve one another humbly in love. But you can start with baby steps. Word by word.

Serve. Serve one another. Serve one another humbly.
